Rigid Core Vinyl Plank
Rigid Core Vinyl Flooring is an engineered vinyl floor that has an enhanced rigid core construction for dimensional stability. A rigid core vinyl will be a solid plank that has less pliability, giving it a sturdy feel to install and under foot.
Another huge perk of LVP products is that they have no special care requirements. If you need to mop your SPC vinyl plank flooring, there’s no reason not to.
In fact, SPC flooring reviews seem to be largely unanimous on this point: it is easy to clean. And you don’t want to use any floor cleansers here either—just warm, soapy water.
Cleaning even the best hardwood floors can be a pain because hardwood is vulnerable to water.
And here’s one downside to LVP. If it does get damaged, your only option is to replace it. It can’t be repaired or refinished.
Obviously, this isn’t fun, especially when you consider the cost to refinish hardwood flooring is usually cheaper than buying and installing all-new LVP.
